The other day, we received this review. What else can we wish for.....
"Look no further, this is the place to stay in Amsterdam! You're hosts are incredibly helpful, the rooms are perfect. I'll be staying here on my next visit for sure. If fact, I'd plan my trip to Amsterdam around the availability of this property.
Wine tasting 15 April
Last Monday we had our second wine tasting at Ristorante La Festa.
Headed by our wine supplier Wine's World, we tasted six summery wines. Some of them were quite surprising.
We expect to organise another tasting in November of this year.
See our Facebook page for some pictures.

Flemish fries with weed sauce
Think of Amsterdam and you will think of weed. As happens more than once in Amsterdam, the owner of a Flemish fries shop in Amsterdam city centre smelled the aroma of weed while working in his shop. The combination of fries and weed made him think of a weed sauce to combine with his fries. So from now on he sells his Flemish fries not just with mayonnaise or ketchup, but also with weed sauce. (Un)fortunately, one doesn't get stoned from the sauce. It's just the scent.
Opening Netherlands-Russia year.
2013 is the Netherlands-Russia year, a year in which the Netherlands and Russia emphasize their long bilateral relations. Therefore, Queen Beatrix has invited President Vladimir Putin to Amsterdam to open the Netherlands-Russia year. The opening will take place this Monday 8 April at the Hermitage museum. Due to this event, the Hermitage and Van Gogh museum will be closed all day on 8 April.
On the same day, Putin will attend a meeting with Prime-Minister Rutte of The Netherlands. Putin's visit to the city causes quite a lot of agitation under proponents of gay rights in The Netherlands. In Russia gays don't have equal rights as straight people and therefore demonstrations will be held in Amsterdam to show Putin what the Dutch think of this.
